About the Course
This is a 3-month online guitar course focused on Brazilian music. It is taught by a Brazilian guitarist based in Rio de Janeiro, with a degree in Popular Music and currently doing a Master’s in Brazilian rhythms.
Structure and Schedule
One 2-hour live lesson per month
The group will have a maximum of 10 people
All lessons take place on Sundays
First meeting: June 29th, 2025 at 14:00 UTC
Second meeting: July 20th, 2025 at 14:00 UTC
Third meeting: August 24th, 2025 at 14:00 UTC

What You Will Learn
Repertoire of Brazilian songs
Rhythms such as samba, bossa nova, baião, xote and forró
Harmony, interpretation, genres and contexts
Strategies to overcome technical and musical challenges
Interaction and Support
You can ask questions during the sessions as well as discuss topics with the group
Direct contact with the instructor is available throughout the course for feedback and guidance
